Down memory lane

A dresser that holds so many memories. Pictures and keepsakes up on top. Drawers are now empty with the expection to the bottom drawer that hold family photos from when my mom, aunt and uncles were younger. Even photos from when my grandparents were younger. I remember at times we (my mom, aunt, grandma, and cousin) would sit on my grandma's bed and look at all the photos. The photos seemed endless. The time I think we looked at the photos was when everyone (all my family!!) was looking through the photos deciding which ones would be best to show at the funeral home for the slide show. I haven't seen the slide show in awhile but I know I would cry if I were to watch it again.

The old school stove fueled by gas. Home-made meals, and alot of fried chicken. Our stove would keep the house warm when it was cold out.

All my childhood books are still in the book shelf. From the golden books to classic Disney stories. So many memories. I've had this book shelf for many years, I remember my grandpa had built it for when I was little. It's still sturdy, good workmanship.

Where we kept our dishes and on the bottom all the pots and pans were stored. Most dishes we saved for when I decide to move out on my own I'll have something to eat on.

your blog is everything i've felt before and i can relate a lot to this one. i know that feeling doesn't go away, it's indescribable but you know what i'm talking about.

i just want you to know you’re not alone & i’m here if you need to talk about it.

ily; & i pray for you and your family at times like these.

p.s. i wish more people still used the old school stoves like that.
